kitchen and bathware
Vessel sinks, integrated or fully custom sinks complete our concrete furniture range.
Concrete has proven to be a remarkable material to be used in kitchens and bathrooms. Due to the liquid state of the concrete mix, it can be turned into any shape you want. It will fill up the most complicated molds and will harden as a rock. We usually build a one piece mold that has all the details in it (rounded edges, sinks, backsplash…) once the mold is ready it’s pour time.
With powdered pigments we can produce hundreds of different colors. The viscosity of our mix plays an important role in the final visual result. The dense matrix of our advanced concrete mix allows us to produce very light and solid pieces. That is why thicker pieces aren’t casted at their full thickness. Our standard thickness is 25-30mm. If you need a top that is 200mm thick we will most likely create a so called “folded edge”. The advantage: you get a lighter piece and you can hide mounting brackets (that we can produce as well) very easily.
At 16JUIN all our pieces are casted within a mold; we do not make concrete overlays or microcement toppings. What you get is a solid concrete piece.
The advantage of using concrete is that it you can minimize jointed seams. When casted in one piece, there will be no seams or sharp edges that tend to gather moisture and grime. Easy to clean, lower mould and delamination risk. The concrete sink is the right option in many spaces.
